M Mateo, born in Thionville in Lorraine, grew up in Strasbourg where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in arts and literature.
He continued his postgraduate studies at the Duperré School of Applied Arts in Paris, he obtained a bachelor degree in Fashion design and then a Master 1 in Fashion and Environment.
He began his career as an illustrator with ELLE magazine in Paris, then moved to London where he illustrated articles in fashion magazines (Scene / Don’t tell it / Spirit), and trained in traditional animation at the Saint Martins School.
Back in Paris, he elaborated themes for trend books while teaching illustration and design in Parisian fashion schools (DUPERRÉ – IFM).
Various collaborations for the press, publishing, advertising, visual identity of perfumers (Glamour – Flammarion – Galeries Lafayettes – Lancôme – L’Artisan Parfumeur – Lolita Lempicka )
His work as a shoe designer for high-end French, Italian, Spanish brands is part of the collections of Vanessa Bruno, John Galliano, Rodolphe Menudier, Schmoove, or Pierre Balmain.
Founder of the art edition DAYS OF LOVE best seller at the Palais de Tokyo and distributed in various bookstore in Paris and New-York.
